Katie AndersonKatie Anderson, Resident Care Coordinator

Katie has worked in the senior care industry for just over 10 years. She was first impacted by dementia years ago when her grandfather started showing signs of memory loss. Since Katie’s grandfather was such a significant role model in her life, she felt compelled to learn more about this disease so that she could better understand how to be there for him. She first started educating herself about dementia then pursued training as a caregiver. After caring for her grandfather, she decided that working in the care industry would be her life’s work. She went on to help other seniors and their families by caregiving then later moved into in the medication technician supervisor role. Katie joined our team here at River Grove Memory Care in 2019 and now serves in the capacity of Resident Care Coordinator. She says her goal here is to make a difference in the lives of our elderly residents by offering them the understanding and care that they need and that means so much.
